XLRI to start PG certificate course in entrepreneurship management
XLRI School of Business & Human Resource, located at Jamshedpur is a reputed B-School in the country. It has planned to start a full-time six month program in entrepreneurship administration – Post Graduate Programme for Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management (PGP-CEM).
The above said program has been designed to provide competency-based education to eligible candidates with a view to promote entrepreneurship in the country. The course comes with a lot of importance in the light of growing competition in field of investment especially in veiw of new economic reforms.
According to Fr. E. Abraham SJ, XLRI Director, XLRI has always been at the forefront of innovation. It is against this background that we have taken a new initiative to launch this program by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre. The program will be extremely beneficial to enterprising individuals, wishing to kick-start their businesses. It will be taught and pursued to encourage critical and lateral thinking and integrate theory with practice. The core curriculum has been designed carefully in order to ensure that courses included in this programme will contain not only the usual inputs on functional areas of business such as finance, marketing, strategy and human resource, but also fields of specific interest in the context of entrepreneurial development in India such as family business, women entrepreneurship, agripreneurship and social enterprises.
The core curriculum consists of three different categories of lessons, the basics of foundational nature followed by the topics that are intended to enhance the entrepreneurial skills. In addition, individual and group assignments and project formulation exercises will also be carried out under the mentorship of faculty members.
