In spite of all the opposition displayed to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for its common management aptitude test (CMAT), the acceptability seems to be gaining.

Over 3,000 management institutes across the country have registered with the AICTE, and will now accept CMAT scores for admission in the new academic year. This number is further expected to grow. An AICTE official told DNA, “All AICTE-approved colleges are expected to accept CMAT scores by default. The list of test centres will be finalised and released soon.”

The long-awaited list of institutes was finally released on the CMAT official website. You can also download it from here.

Notable institutes on the list include BITS Pilani, Asia Pacific Institute of Management (New Delhi), IFIM Business School (Bangalore), KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (Mumbai), and the SIES College of Management Studies (Navi Mumbai).

However students have comaplained that several good institutes from several states are still no on the list.

In earlier news only 70,000 aspirants had registered for CMAT by 23rd January and CMAT may be held twice a year.
