P Kishore: Government’s focus on ICT in education to grow Everonn revenues

P Kishore, managing director, Everonn Education said that with the government’s new focus on ICT in education, the company has been benefiting in terms of revenues.

In an interview with ET Now, P Kishore, managing director, Everonn Education said that with the government’s new focus on ICT in education, the company has been benefiting in terms of revenues. “We have just recently bagged a very large order from Uttar Pradesh. In fact it’s our largest order for about 1025 schools, order worth over Rs 96 crore. It is looking very good and I think the pipeline is also improving substantially with the government’s new focus on ICT in education,” Kishore has said. According to Kishore, the new focus is for the company is the project Educating India where the endeavour is to set up schools and colleges. Everonn would be a facilitator, aggregator and a manager of the project. Speaking about the company’s key revenue drivers, Kishore said that 65 per cent of Everonn’s revenues come from the colleges and these are all high-end colleges of India that include engineering colleges, medical colleges and the arts and science colleges. Commenting on working in sync with the government, Kishore said, “We are one of the largest partners with the government. Today Everonn works with almost 16 state governments in India. In our Prime Minister’s recent visit to US I happened to be there and it was actually called Dr Singh and Mr Obama’s education summit. So there is a clear focus on the Government in India on education and skilling.” Source: EconomicTimes
