CII to promote Excellence Cluster For Colleges In Hyderabad

Confederation of Indian Industry Andhra Pradesh (CII-AP) has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with five colleges to develop College Excellence Cluster (CEC) in Hyderabad.

The five colleges with which the MoUs are signed include Dr. B V Raju Institute of Technology, Sreenidhi Institute of Science & Technology, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Vasavi College of Engineering and TRR College of Engineering.

Under the CEC project CII-AP will try to enhance the capabilities of the colleges by organizing CEO Speak Sessions, CXO Speak Sessions, Faculty Development Programmes and Faculty Mission programmes, during the year, with the colleges which has registered under the cluster.

Speaking at the launch session, Prof. Ajit Rangnekar, Convenor, Industry Institute Interaction (III) panel of CII-AP & Dean, Indian School of Business, Hyderabad said that the objective of the cluster is to share best practices, benchmark themselves and to engage with industry in a meaningful manner.

“The college cluster project is one of the change initiatives of CII and it would help in leveraging the dynamics of group learning,” said. V Rajanna, Co-Convenor, III Panel of CII-AP and Vice President & Regional Head, Tata Consultancy Services.

This project is expected to enable the faculty members to understand the requirements of the industry.
